How Should the Vessel Head be Maintained?

The vessel head is usually used in conjunction with a container or pressure device. If it is a single vessel head product, it will play a limited role.

For example, if high sealing performance is required, alloy vessel heads should be used;

If a high pressure vessel is used, a hemispherical head is most suitable;

But if it is for some special occasions, then the torispherical head is the best. It can be seen that dished heads also have special types and necessity in specific occasions.

No matter what type of tank head it is, it is best to install it easily and have a certain degree of stability, so as to ensure the normal use of thetank ends.

How should the vessel head be maintained?

1. After the vessel head and cylinder are assembled and welded, the welding seam, heat affected zone and surrounding welding slag, spatter, and pollutants must be promptly cleaned, and PT inspection and surface pickling must be performed.

2. Prevent bumps and scratches on the surface of the stainless steel dished head.

3. Prevent direct contact with carbon steel and avoid iron ion contamination.

4. Do not store it in the open air and protect it from rain.

5. Avoid forced assembly welding. Structural design should prevent excessive restraint stress.

6. The chloride ion content of the water used for the hydraulic pressure test shall not be greater than 25 mg/L, and it must be dried in time after the test.

7. Do not use salt for pickling stainless steel
